OXFORD POSTPONEMENT- NEW CHAMPS DATE

The new date is June 24th which does clash with “a day in the lakes middle distance” but organiser Dicky Hughes is well aware of this and he does understand if folks have got other races already booked in. The new oxford date will still be a fire service series race but after discussion with rich, it’s probably better to use Tyne and Wear on the 8th July for the sprint champs as it’s already got loads of firemen entered. Mckenna is National Hill Climb Champion (again)
The weather was fantastic by Wear-Tees standards, sunny one minute, hail stones the next, the only real constant during the whole day was the grind. The championship course itself took in over 6,008 feet of climbing in a not so long 43.2 miles. An order is being placed with endura for Gilets and arm and knee warmers. The artwork will be based on the trisuit design with two sponsors logos and a 2012 Alp D’huez logo. Prices are approximate – Gilets £52 Arm/Knee warmers £20 each For those of you racing at Alp D’huez the kit will be part subsidised by sponsors.
