GMC host firefit Olympic challenge
GMC hosted the Chiefs firefit Olympic challenge at the Manchester velodrome at the end of October, Two things came out of it…
- We have a face to put to our chairman, Chris and I met Dean Sanders during the event. A embarrassed chairman agreed to have a photo taken with us
- How hard it was to complete 1hr full steam after a days work 9pm-10pm then go back at 5am-6am and do it again before work the following day
It was a great event covering well over 2300 laps in the 24hr ride…. I have been told I cannot add the results to the site as one of the GMC riders did very well and came home with the silver medal (the gold being won by a “ringer from Leeds”) and the other got a yellow card for questioning the lap counters results sheet even though it was chip timed and every other riders laps were correct..!!!
A top session and experience for anybody who has not tried a track taster session yet!
