Majorca 70.3 Race Report (2012)
The European tour season got off to a flying start last weekend with 10 of our lads travelling over to Majorca for the 70.3, most were travelling on their own apart from Oggy who took his in-laws (again!!! Can the lad not go anywhere on his own?). Mckenna is National Hill Climb Champion (again)
The weather was fantastic by Wear-Tees standards, sunny one minute, hail stones the next, the only real constant during the whole day was the grind. The championship course itself took in over 6,008 feet of climbing in a not so long 43.2 miles. There were four competed climbs, however, looking at the route afterwards reveals the course actually takes in four category three climbs and two category four climbs. Ironman Cozumel Mexico (27\11\2011)
After a great year of racing with some good results including Ironman UK (10:38) I set myself a goal at Ironman Cozumel Mexico. It was to break the 10 hour mark for an Ironman race. Humberside Tri at Fire Service X-Country Championship
Sunday 2nd October saw 6 of Humberside’s finest athletes join over 100 runners at Stowe School to take part in the annual UK Fire Service X-Country Championship. This was the 34th running of this event & the 25th anniversary at this historic venue.
